It’s gotta be the Browns, right?
With Cleveland winning one NFL game over the past two seasons, you’d expect the hapless Browns to have the smallest chance of winning Super Bowl LIII in February 2019.
However, according to the bet365 odds on August 22, that dubious honor goes to the New York Jets, who went 5-11 in the AFC East in each of the past two campaigns. They’re listed as the NFL’s biggest llongshot at +15000
So who’s next?
The Chicago Bears are also less likely than the Browns to do any damage as they come in at +10000. Cleveland’s chances are slightly better at +8000 as are those of the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals.
Those with dark horse chances at celebrating a Super Bowl Triumph in Atlanta early next year are the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts at +6600 with the Washington Redskins at +5000.
What about the favorites?
The teams with the best odds of being crowned NFL champions aren’t really a surprise. The New England Patriots may have lost last season’s big game to the Philadelphia Eagles, but they’re favored at +500 with the Eagles right behind them at +900, the same as the Green Bay Packers.
There are several teams who come in at the middle of the pack. These teams could end up being decent squads to back. Let’s take a look:
The LA Rams +1100
Minnesota Vikings +1200
Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints +1800
San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars +2000.
LA Chargers, Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers +2500
Kansas City Chiefs +2800
Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks +3300
Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens +4000.
